George W. Bush is happy that his family is getting bigger!
The 78-year-old former president of the United States happily shared on social media the birth of his new grandson.
Bush posted a sweet picture on Instagram on August 6 to greet his daughter Barbara Pierce Bush and her husband Craig Coyne on the birth of their second child. The couple had their son, Edward Finn, just a few days before. They already have a girl named Cora Georgia who is 2 years old.
Barbara and Craig are holding their new baby boy in a hospital bed in the touching picture. Their faces are lit up with happiness as they look lovingly at their son. Bush wrote in the caption, “Welcome to the world, Edward Finn Coyne. I am proud to be a grandfather to our newest grandchild, who was born on August 4 and was named after both of his great-grandfathers.” “Well done, Barbara, Craig, and big sister Cora Georgia!”
Barb’s twin sister Jenna Bush Hager told everyone about the good news on Monday, August 5. Jenna, who is a co-anchor on the Today show, wrote on Instagram that she was thrilled to be an aunt again.
Jenna, 42, wrote in the captions of a bunch of photos of the special times after Edward Finn was born, “My sissy had a little mister and I fell madly in love with Edward Finn! ❤️💗👼.” Jenna is seen feeding her baby nephew in one picture, and Barbara is holding Edward in another while Jenna looks on with admiration. In the third picture in the gallery, Edward is sleeping soundly in his mother’s arms.
Jenna didn’t say anything else about her nephew’s birth, but the pictures show how happy the family is. Today.com pointed out that Edward was seen wearing a hat from NYU Langone Health, which suggests that Barbara may have given birth at the famous New York City hospital.
