As soon as they moved into their new home, the Robinson family began preparing the baby’s room so that it would be ready when the new member of the family was born.
Mrs. Robinson was forced to give birth to a boy, her second child, in just four months.
The Robinsons loved animals, but since their landlord forbade them from having a dog because they lived in an apartment, they are no longer interested in getting a dog, but at least one puppy.
To select a dog, the two wives brought their 6-year-old son Matias to an animal shelter. They desired a non-violent dog that could develop on the farm with the children.
They were unsure of which puppy to choose after touring the paddocks and learning about some of the pups’ heartbreaking lives.
They stumbled upon 4-year-old pit bull Benson as they were leaving. He appeared to have lost all faith in people as he strolled back with his tail tucked between his knees.
The animal shelter personnel informed the Robinson family that Benson had a genuinely miserable life when they asked about him.
He was abandoned on the streets after being used in dog fights, where volunteers discovered him.
Benson spent some time in the dog shelter before being adopted by a couple. But after only two weeks, they returned Benson to the shelter on the grounds that he exhibits aggressive behavior toward his owners.
Benson was adopted in spite of the volunteers’ recommendations that he does not live with kids.
Mr. Robinson requested that Benson be given a chance. Despite the fact that Benson disliked having a leash, and even getting to the car was challenging, they eventually made it home.
Benson was initially incredibly wary, reserved, and alone. But over time, Benson was able to adjust and form relationships with every member of the family, particularly Matias.
They brought the newborn home after Mrs. Robinson gave birth and introduced Benson to him.
He gave the baby a sniff and then softly licked his face. Benson was a nice dog, and his owners could see straight away that they would get along.
The Robinsons were awakened one night by a loud barking when the infant was only two months old.
He kept barking and tried to get into the crib, but the safety bars stopped him. He began eating the cot in an effort to get to the baby.
The Robinsons were originally frightened when they saw the infant was not breathing when they brought the youngster into their arms because they believed Benson was attempting to harm the child.
He was brought to a local hospital where he was revived by medical professionals. The doctor informed the parents that their child would have passed away if the cardiorespiratory arrest had continued for longer than 30 minutes.
Benson became well-known and demonstrated that nothing happens by chance. First, to give Benson a chance, the Robinson family’s baby was finally saved by Benson.
